DISTRIBUTION:

Nyceryx nephus flies in Brazil, the specimen type locality.

Forewing upperside very similar to Nyceryx alophus alophus.

Forewing underside with discal areas pale brown the between lines.

Hindwing upperside with marginal band broader than in Nyceryx alophus alophus with traces of brown spots. CATE

FLIGHT TIMES:

Moths are probably on the wing in just about every month.

ECLOSION:

Adults eclose, usually within three weeks.

SCENTING AND MATING:

Females call in the males with a pheromone released from a gland at the tip of the abdomen.
